SIDN Fund and Topsector ICT awarded funding to ten projects with their Responsible AI in Practice call. The call asked for developing applicable solutions for responsible development and use of algorithmic systems and AI. In total 1.1 million Euro were available for ten projects. Data School successfully won funding for developing the Performance Review for Algorithms, a process for monitoring the functionality of algorithmic systems and develop the necessary documentation for good governance and compliance. The two-year project consists  of a systematic testing and validating the process, developing a web-interface and including stakeholder feedback from both industry partners and supervisory authorities. Data School collaborates in this project with advisory firm Berenschot, and supervisory authorities NVWA and RDI. The team consists of Iris Muis, Julia Straatman, Bart Kamphorst, Mirko Tobias Schäfer (all Data School), Jill Briggeman, Sheean Spoel and Mees van Stiphout (all Research Software Lab), and Lisa de Graaf (Berenschot).
