Intro to Arduino – mapping the urban environment
During this four hour workshop, offered by Creative Coding Utrecht, participants will learn the basics of Arduino. Barnard, the instructor, will give an introduction to his work as a hardware hacker and bring along a selection of sensors. The participants will be given tasked with connecting the sensor to the micro controller to map a process in the urban environment. This can be air quality, but there are also sensors that allows you to measure the number of pedestrians, for example. In four hours you learn to connect and calibrate sensors. By the end of the session participants will have learned the basic principles of Arduino and can develop a simple tool for collecting data during data walks
